Christian Lacroix Homme F/W 2013
"Etre Parisien, ce n'est pas etre né à Paris, c'est y renaître! Etre de Paris, ce n'est pas fatelement y avoir vu le jour mais c'est y voir clair!" (Sacha Walckhoff)
When the show started at Lacroix I had a feeling it will all be about "clean lines" and "structured silhouettes"! I wasn't all wrong, but what Sacha Walckhoff imagined while designing this collection was a little deeper than just some ghostly runway appearances. The idea of wearing a rigurous uniform was obvious, then there were these quilted tops and some pretty cool overalls!
It all become pretty clinical with all the white leather trimmings, either present on pants or blazers/coats!
A great light and perspective to see the industrial world and of course the reinvention of what work clothes would look like from a whole different angle.
And why not start seeing men in Paris going to work and carrying around their little lunch boxes or their furry oversized clutches!
